Tanabata

Tanabata (Chinese meaning: Evening of the Seventh) is a Japanese festival related to seasonal change.
It is originated from a Chinese festival entitled Qi Xi.

People celebrate this festival by hanging their written wish on a bamboo tree's branch.






This festival celebrates the meeting of Orihime (Vega) and Hikoboshi (Altair). According to legend, the Milky Way, a river made from stars that crosses the sky.
It separates these lovers, but they are still allowed to meet even that it is only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the lunisolar calendar. The celebration is held at night.

I don't celebrate this festival, though. I live in Indonesia, and people here just don't usually do that. But from the first time I heard about this, I actually like the idea. The best idea I think is to hang the wish on a tree. It makes a good decor item, I think. It's also a good remembrance of hope.

Good afternoon.
Sorry if you're upset, but I guess this post and the next will just be a copy of what I have posted on my former blog. But still, hopefully you will like it ;)

Well, actually I've made one before this, using the clips fro FFVIIAC (again??) and song entitled Aozora no Namida (sung by Nanase Aikawa, OST Blood+).
But, at least in my opinion, that didn't come out as I want it to be.
So forget it. I guess I'll fix it next time. Then maybe I'll upload it here :)

CBOX AVATAR

Morning, folks!
Now I’m going to post about the way to Cbox avatar.

The example is right on my Cbox on the right of the page.
The way is actually simple, here’s how:

1. Fill your name on the name tab
2. On the URL tab, fill with url of a picture
3. Write your message, then enter or click ‘Go’!
That’s all.

Okay, I was kidding. I know the hard step is.
So, as what I’ve experienced, the hardship will probably be met on the Picture URL.
Here’s a simpler way to:

1. Choose your picture
2. Crop and resize to 100 x 100 pixel.
a. (You can actually crop it until it reaches the same ratio of 1:1, then resize it to 100 x 100 pixel)

3. Upload that to a Storage website, I prefer ImageShack.
4. From there you will see the URL, copy that.
5. Paste the URL to the URL tab on the Cbox, that tab has character limit, so make sure you delete the http:// (or anything so that the link will fit until the format [example:.jpg])
6. After that are just the routines, fill the name tab, message tab, and ‘Go’!

But make a note, if you use an avatar, it means that you use the URL tab for the picture url,
you won't be able to put a link to your email/site (whatever that is) on your name.
Well, it's still quite worth it , though.

Lambda Driver

Okay, probably some of you have heard of this.
It's an Arm Slave OS (Operating System) of a mecha (robotical weaponry)shown in the anime Full Metal Panic! It's driven by Sergeant Sagara Sousuke :D

I'm going to post about this thing earlier than some other, because I need a tag for the slideshow (anime picture).

If you have not known, Lambda Driver is an OS controlled by emotion of the pilot,
and is also related to the term 'Whispered' which is believed to be carrying a high technology called the 'Black Technology'.
But well, let's set it aside. We're going to evaluate how this Lambda Driver could become true and real , real soon.





How?
It is possible that you had seen this application, or probably more proper, gadget.
The function is to control something by brain. Many companies are now developing this kind of technology. You can search yourself, but take this one OCZ NIA, which is made for gaming, for example.


Well, that way, just combine it with the already-working technology robot like Asimo.
Add weaponries, solar cells, batteries, cannons, and laser daggers.
Evaluate, fix here and there. And now you've got a brother of Arbalest, the Arm Slave of Sousuke that is applied with Lambda Driver!

LED Kites

Remember your childhood? You were probably one of those kids who loved to play kites in the field.
But... Kites? Kites aren't that cool. You know what's cool? Kites with freaking LED lights and fireworks attached to them—that's cool! And that's what's in this video: a bunch of cool kites with cool lights and fireworks galore.

These amazing kites are flying over the Caspian Sea in June of 2009 in a special performance for the President of Turkmenistan. The delta kites are 17' wingspan kites with Super LED lights and fireworks all controlled by radio control. The diamond kites are 6' wide and 6' high with 100' tails. The kites are two line steerable kites.

Now this is a big boy's toy if we've ever seen one - rather large delta kites which feature 17-feet wingspan, equipped with fancy LED lights and fireworks for added effect, where all of them are controlled via radio. Of course, for those of you who live (or were visiting) Turkmenistan last June would have seen it, where they were paraded before the President in a special performance. The diamond kites themselves measure 6 feet wide and are 6 feet high with 100 feet tails, now how about that? This isn't something that we'd hope will come crashing into our homes, otherwise be prepared to call the fire brigade!

First Matter - Toyota NORI

I came across Toyota's Indonesian Page, and found this article, which is about a bike.
On the picture, the bike is green.
Remember something?

Yep! NORI! Or seaweed, if you had not known :D



That's the pic.

It's developed by a big automotive brand, Toyota.
The logic is quite simple, which is to create a light-weighted body , without reducing the quality standards of a proper car, so that it will reduce the energy used on the car itself.

The main point is that Toyota tries to bring a very, very new innovation to the body materials. The new materials that will be used is, yes, NORI (seaweed).
Rather absurd, isn't it? But well, who knows this project will be a major success in the market? Well, they sure know how to attract it, though.
(I mean, using seaweed, which we can quite say, a food, as body materials for cars is sure rather... unique)

The nori, using a method, is transformed into a bioplastic material and is then bonded with carbon fiber. This product, which later was named Toyota Nori, has weight of 1000 pounds, or about 454 kg .

Toyota also named this green hottie Pedular; which means around:
body and case are union a la monocoque, but still strong, light, and exquisite (streamline)

The body is also made with solar cells , the energy produced here then is transferred to the battery.
Toyota gives a term to this product; PSI; Partial Body Insert;
referring to the interior of the car that can be seen clearly from outside.

It is clear that, this design is made to support the plan of environment-friendly car concepts. But well, Salute, my friend. Me myself, I quite like the design and the concept (setting aside the thought of me eating a car...)

By the way, just FYI, this is Nori (Seaweed). The sushi-roll version, though. It's the green layer around the rice :P
